Our German Import

It was a pleasure having Jasper spend a few weeks with us here at Danburg. We got to learn about his culture and he got to learn a little about American business.
Unfortunately, it was his cheering for Dallas that ultimately brought down the Miami Heat. For that, I’ll always blame him!

Interning at Danburg Management
It is the most exciting time in my life — I’m living in America. My name is Jasper Huesgen. I’m a 21-year old high-school graduate from the Northern part of Germany. I’m sure you are wondering “A 21 year-old high school graduate?” Yes, you read correctly. In Germany you normally graduate in the age of 19 or 20. In my case, I am doing what Germans call a “gap year” – interning, traveling, and visiting with friends.
After completing two internships in Germany, I really wanted to go to America. Everyone in Germany says that America is a country with big opportunities. For me, my passion is playing golf, which is a really big thing here. Thus I decided at first to travel to New York City to take a course to improve my English skills. Afterward I was quite lucky to get the chance to intern at Danburg Management Corporation.
So perhaps I can introduce some of these positive attributes to German companies. Another thing I have recently become addicted to is basketball. I have never thought the sport could be so exciting because in Germany no one really cares about it. Of course I am supporting the “German Wunderkind” Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks. He is the best. I even got the chance to watch the second game in Miami. I have t o say t hat was the most exciting sports moment in my life. I have never experienced that kind of atmosphere in an arena; an adventure I will never forget.
