Our Debate countdown clock keeps ticking and as of this writing we are down to 68 days.
Danburg Properties of Boca Raton will soon be releasing details of our participation in the Debate Festival taking place on the campus of Lynn University during the Presidential Debate on October 22, 2012. We are also official small business partners in the debate. We are very excited to be involved as the eyes of the world are focused on our community.
Here are the latest developments regarding the debate:
The topic of the third and final 2012 presidential debate at on October 22 at Lynn University will be foreign policy. Approximately 24% of the Lynn student body is international and the entrance to Lynn is lined with the flags of the countries represented by the students. The debate will be formatted into six 15-minute segments focusing on topics within foreign policy decided by the moderator in advance.
Earlier this week, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced the moderator for the debate at Lynn University will be Bob Schieffer, Chief Washington Correspondent for CBS News and Moderator of Face the Nation.
In partnership with the Palm Beach County School District, Lynn University developed a K-12 Debate Curriculum for use in our county and across the country. Educators can augment their lesson plans with free activities for each grade level, which are accessible on iTunes U if using a Mac or iPad or on the official Lynn debate website.
