The third Presidential Debate will transform Mizner Park into a viewing party and concert when Rock The Vote comes to Boca Raton. Planned with the Palm Beach County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, the official live concert and debate screening at the Mizner Park Amphitheater was created in conjunction with the City of Boca Raton.
The event will feature popular American alternative band Neon Trees and DJ Skee, and is sponsored by Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE. Danburg Properties of Boca Raton is an official sponsor of the Presidential Debate at Lynn University and will watch the event from a cabana on campus.
Over the past two decades, Rock The Vote has registered more than five million young voters. This year, the target audience is the Millennial Generation, those of voting age born from the late 1970s to the early 2000s – and who today comprise nearly a quarter of the 2012 electorate.
The organization uses pop culture, music, social media and grassroots outreach to “motivate and mobilize young people in our country to participate in every election, with the goal of seizing the power of the youth vote to create political and social change.”
The event is free and open to the public. Xbox LIVE will stream the event via its Xbox game console to more than 40 million Gold subscribers worldwide. Register here.
