Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Fellow Boca Raton Business Owners,

If we don’t have the pleasure of already knowing each other, or you haven’t received one of my “community letters” I would like to introduce myself to you and share some of the important issues that are confronting “Boca Raton Business Owners” in 2010.  By trade I’m a commercial real estate developer and landlord in my 27th year of business. I live here in Boca with my family, and I’m one of the larger commercial landlords in the city. When I’m not busy leasing office and warehouse space I am a Trustee of the Boca Raton Chamber, and I’m a member of the Economic Council of Palm Beach. If you want to find out more about me and my business, please use the links for our website to the right.

The more Floridians learn about Amendment 4, the more they oppose it.  But we need your help to spread the message. The Economic Council, member organizations in the Business Forum and E-PAC have joined with Florida’s leading editorial boards, other business groups, unions, civic organizations and political candidates in opposition to Constitutional Amendment Number 4. Amendment 4’s Impact On Our Economy

Study: “Amendment 4’s passage will have potentially devastating consequences…”

A comprehensive economic report on Amendment 4 indicates that this measure will mean fewer jobs and higher costs for all of Florida’s working families. “An estimated 267,247 high-wage jobs for Florida residents are at risk directly or indirectly from the potential adverse impacts associated with the passage of Amendment 4…” writes Professor Tony Villamil, Dean of the School of Business at St. Thomas University and lead economist for The Washington Economics Group (WEG), which conducted the study.
